Hey, HoopleHead: do you really think the OP is coming back to see your
answer to a post from August 2007? You Eggheaders are really a bunch of
dumba**es
: You cannot import or access OST files directly using Outlook. you first
need to convert OST to PST using OST to PST converter only then you can
access it. for more information read the post at -

: how to import OST files
: Open outlook.
: Export current emails to PST.
: Close the Outlook.
: Go to outlook OST folder.
: [ in general C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook ]
:
: Replace the existing OST with the OST you want to import into outlook.
: Open outlook.
: At this point you should see all the old emails and folders.
:
: Now, export these mails to PST format.
: Close the outlook.
:
: Go to the outlook OST folder again.
: Delete the OST. ( next time when you restart outlook it will automatically
create a new OST, so dont worry!).
:
: Open the Outlook.
: Let it download all the existing emails from the Exchange server.
: Now import the mails from the PST your created above.
:
: I hope this helps.

Yes they got it wrong, but you don't need to treat someone like that. You
devalue the title of MVP by your behavior.
