I needed to save a copy of my contacts from my old employer. I was told to
export the contacts and save on a CD. They saved on a large file that is on
"office data file". Everytime I go to open it, it says it is "write
protected". How do I get to the data, convert it to a .pst and save it on my
new computer. The new computer has Outlook 2003 with Business Contact
Manager. Please help me!

It probably already is a .pst file but you need to copy it to your hard drive, remove the read-only attribute (right click->properties) and then OPEN it in Outlook, not import.
