When importing from Excel, how do I map a multi line street address into
"Home Address"?

Haven't tried this recently but try exporting from Outlook to an XLS file
then use that file as a guidepost to creating your input file

How exactly do you mean by "multi-line" street address?
a) one field with line breaks between multiple lines? or
b) multiple fields comprising the complete street address?

How-to answer(s)

First expand the Home Address field in the Outlook map by clicking on the +
(plus) sign

if a) - map to field "Home Street"
if b) - map to individual Home street address fields (Home Street, Home
Street 2, and Home Street 3) as required

Thanks to you both.....Vince, I did what you suggested, and I get both lines
of the home address together in one field separated by a double
bar...something I don't think I can duplicate.

Karl.....I am using your product....but when I map as you suggest in option
B....I get nothing......no street addresses, only the city and the state.

Obviously, I am doing something wrong....

#1 - Suspect The double bar character you're seeing is the result of the
line break characters in your original field
#2 - My original response on how to import address lines wasn't related to
any CG product, was simply related to the Outlook import wizard
#3 - Re: the issue with the ContactGenie problem you've identified, please
send the issue to (support AT contactgenie.com) since
this newsgroup is not a CG support venue. However, when you do, can
tell you that you'll be asked for the following:
a) Outlook version
b) CG product you're referring to along with version number
(can be found in the About screen)
c) more than likely a sample copy of your data that exhibits
the problem so it can be tested
d) a copy of any custom form that you may be using
(support is provided 7 days a week)
