<sigh>
In WM do file-Export-Windows Contacts-CSV
In Outlook do Import-CSV.

You did LOOK at this first before posting?

<sigh> - really? Well yes of course I checked - and checked the way you
described, but the ambiguous help files in both programs were no help
whatsoever to get this issue easily resolved. I searched the help files in
Outlook and Windows Mail a dozen different ways as well with no success.

I had already created a CSV file from Windows Mail before attempting to move
the data to Outlook 2007. That was easy but eventually proved to be
unneccesary. Your suggested method however will not work. There is no option
to import a CSV file into Outlook 2007. Turns out you don't need a .CSV file.

Here's what it took.

In Outlook express, click on File, Import and export, which opens the
Import and Export Wizard.
Choose Import Internet Mail and Addresses, and click on Next>,
select "Outlook Express 4.x, 5.x, 6.x or Windows Mail" click on Next>, make
sure both Import Mail and Import address Book boxes are selected, Click on
Next>
In the Import Addresses pop up box, make your preferred selection and click
on Finish.
Windows will then do the work and move all addresses and messages over to
Outlook.

A little more complicated than your response don't you think? But thanks for
replying. At least the problem has been solved. There is no option under File
to select Import-CSV.

So thanks for at least pointing me to look in the File dropdown box. From
there it was easy.

There sure is. File, Import & Export, Import from another program or file, CSV (windows) is the second item on the list.

Nope. I use MS Office Outlook 2007 (12.0.6316.5000) SP1 MSO (12.0.6320.5000)
Part of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007. Perhaps we are using two different
versios?

I have a slightly newer version (12.0.64xx) of office enterprise but the
option to import CSV is present in the older versions too. CSV (DOS) is the
first file type to import, CSV (windows) is second, then access and excel
and the other file types it supports.
