Greetings-

Windows Server 2003; XPpro workstations. I have many printers on my network
and want to hide the ones that people don't have access to. I did this last
week but forgot where I did it from. I thought it was somewhere in the
Printer object in AD...

Greetings-

And the answer is............... make sure that the Advanced Features
option is check in ADUC; right click on the printer object in AD and select
Properties. On the Security tab, add the group that contains the user(s)
you want to have access and delete the Authenticated Users group. The group
you add only needs Read rights. Now your printer can only be seen by the
group you added (as well as the other Admin groups added by default).
