How do I have the site e-mail updates to specific users?

I am trying to have specific users enter their email addresses so that when
an update to the website is made it will send them an email. How do I create
a database with the email addresses in it? and How do I get the website to
send out update emails?

This would have to be a custom written application based on what database and server-side scripting
language is supported by your web host or you need to search for a 3rd party that offers this
service.

You can't do that outright with FP. You will need a server side script.
