Hi,

I have Vista and Powerpoint 2007. Somehow,via an e-mail I received, I ended
with Powerpoint viewer 2003 being the default program that opens up all my
ppt presentations if I access them via Windows Explorer, which is usually how
I access my files. I would like to go backto Powerpoint 2007 being the
default program opened. I tried to uninstall PP viewer, but it does not show
in the "Programs" list of the Control panel. I tried to use the soluition
proposed by mcspec in the 3/22/2006 9:11 AM e-mail, but there is no Filetpyes
tab in Vista. Please, how can I get rid of this annoying default setting?

In Vista, right-click a PPT file and choose Open With | Choose Default
Program.

You should be able to browse to PowerPoint.EXE and set it to open PPT files.
Be sure you have "always use selected program to open this kind of file"
checked before you browse to PowerPoint.EXE.

Then repeat for PPS and PPTX and PPSX files as necessary.
