I think with DSL you have a connection Manager you have to run before you
get on. Put that in the startup folder under c:\documents and
settings\<USER>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
It should run at startup but you will might have to click on something to
actually connect. You might have to check with your ISP to see if there is a
way.
in network connections bring up the properties of ur connection and in one of the tabs their should be a tick box about prompting for usernames, etc. uncheck them and it shouldnt ask anythiong when told to connect
