i am running an xp machine

i already have sp2 on my pc but i do not have windows movie maker 2.1,
however on the microsoft website it says i can only download windows movie
maker 2.1 by downloading sp2... but i already have sp2.

can anyone help me? as i would really like to have windows movie maker 2.1,
without having to re-download sp2.

thanks

Click Start -> Run
Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe"
That would be WMM 2.1

hi thanks for the quick reply - i've just tried that and there is no movie
maker folder in the program files folder.

any other ideas?

thanks

Check the link to Dean Rowe's blog where he get's you to check other files
at the bottom of this page.

Do you not have any movie maker then?

Try the following...go to...Start / Run
and type... moviemk.exe .....press
Enter.

If Movie Maker is on your system it
should launch.

After downloading and installing SP2...
go to Microsoft Update for additional
updates.

Download Windows XP SP2

Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.

It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.

And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.
