I bought my averetec tablet pc from staples, but there was no disc provided,
only the product ID number. How can I get the updates that require the discs
for necessary files?

Microsoft's Help system has landed you in the wrong newsgroup: this
one is for the database program Microsoft Access.

Please use the dropdown box (the one that says "Access" by default)
to select a more appropriate newsgroup.

Contact Staples and ask them this question, and/or post it in a
newsgroup for whatever version of Windows you have installed.
