How do I get two computers to network?

I have two computers, one with XP Pro, and the other with
WinME. I have DSL working just fine.

I have two network cards on the XP pro computer and one
network card on the other.

Standing alone, all three cards can access the internet
easily. I have hooked up CAT 5 cables to each computer
and to each other and to the DSL modem. But can't them
them to both access the internet at the same time.

Problem: My wife wants to use her computer on the
internet at the same time i do.

Any help?

Please E-mail me at (e-mail address removed)
Thank you.

With that hardware, you can run ICS (routing software) on the XP
PC to do what you want. But, you will need a crossover cable
between the XP PC and the ME PC.

For a few $s more, I suggest buying a router instead of using ICS;
see http://home.comcast.net/~bobwbsgs/homenet.txt for why.
