I am very new at Excel (how can you tell!!) - how do I get the horizontal and vertical
lines that are on the screen to print onto the paper. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

File > Page Setup > Sheet tab
Check "Print, Gridlines".

Under Print, Page Setup, Sheet Tab; look for Gridlines (and Check it).

Oops, I do still have another question.
I want to print off a form with only headings, and
then I am going to fill in the form daily with pen.

When I did what you explained, all I got was the
headings nicely lined, but nothing else, how do I get
rows of lines and columns that I can fill in. Thanks again.

From your response and to achieve what it sounds like you want, I'd set up
the form design using the Borbers toolbar or for more control use from the
menu, Format, Cells, Border tab. Extending Column Widths to accommodate
your write in areas, etc. Once you do this Save -It. You may then want to
disable the Gridlines previously mentioned (on the Sheet tab of Page Setup)
as these (Gridlines) will ADD to the left and above of all blank cells in
the Printed Range, (which I don't think you want done).
