Walgreen's (and other stores) have those Kodak Photo booth's that charge
$6.99 per scan. How can I get the same quality from my home pc and printer?
Does anyone know what DPI it scans in? I think the printer is Kodak
proprietary - what should I use? How about the software, I don't care for
Window's XP software too much, but it does work.

Thanks!

Happy Holidays!!

You should be able to change the resolution that you scan in with the
scanner's software. On my Canoscan 1220u I can scan up to 1220dpi which
makes VERY large files, so be sure you have a large enough hard drive... For
example in the highest resolution, I've scanned one picture that is over 1gb
in size.

The of course you're going to have to have a good photo printer... your
standard $100 printer is not going to produce what you want. You're looking
in the $200 range with at least 6 ink tanks (black, cyan, magenta, yellow,
photo cyan and photo magenta).
