When I changed isp's I installed from their cd and it added a yahoo
toolbar to IE and I can't get rid of it. I go to /view/toobars and
unclick yahoo companion but next time I boot it's back. How do I
permanently kill it?

To uninstall the Yahoo! Companion toolbar, click the "Toolbar Settings"
button (it has a picture of a pencil on it) and select "Remove Yahoo!
Companion" from the drop-down menu.
It is also possible to hide or move the toolbar on your browser.
If you are using Internet Explorer, you can hide the Companion by doing the
following:
Click "View" on the IE menu.
Select "Toolbars" and click "Yahoo! Companion."
This will allow you to hide the Yahoo! Companion toolbar. Follow the same
directions above to activate Yahoo! Companion. A checkmark to the left of a
selection indicates the toolbar is active. No checkmark indicates the
toolbar is inactive.
You can also move your Companion so that it doesn't use as much space:
Look for the thin vertical bar directly to the left of the "Y!" button.
Click and drag this bar with your mouse to move the toolbar around the top
of Internet Explorer.
If you are using Netscape Navigator, follow these steps:
Click "Yahoo!" in the menu bar at the top of your browser.
Select "Show/Hide Y! Toolbar" from the drop-down menu.
