How do I get rid of System Checkpoint? I have to do a
system restore virtually every day because system
checkpoint fouls up my legal-size Mikrotek SCSI scanner.
What does system checkpoint do to mess up the software?
How can I turn system checkpoint off? This is a ROYAL
NUISANCE!!!
I am forced to check the scanner before I install any new
antivirus, windows update, etc to make sure system
checkpoint has not messed up my scanner software. I used
to reinstall the Mikrotek software until it dawned on me
to try system restore.

system checkpoints just save your configuration and don't
change anything, the problem might be something else.
You can disable it.. but I wouldn't, because then you
cannot restore anymore.
Right click 'MyComputer' and go to properties,
go to system restore and check the box next to disable
system restore.
