I recently signed up for a new Hotmail account and somehow MSN Messenger is
linked to the account. Now, whenever I check my e-mail I am logged into MSN
Messenger.

I don't use Messenger, don't want Messenger, and want it off my account.

I used Start>Control Panel>Remove Programs to remove MSN Messenger 7.5 from
my computer but I still am signed into it when I log into Hotmail.

How do I get rid of it?

Thanks.

Greetings,

It's probably Windows Messenger then if you've uninstalled MSN Messenger.

Windows Messenger can be removed by clicking the Start button, then click Run and type in
(copy-paste if you like):
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Then click OK.
Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed instructions and screenshots, go to,
