Question. I deleted windows.old and thought that this might take care of
the option to boot to Old Windows (that is paraphrasing) as the system
starts up, but it has not. How can I get rid of that so the system just
boots straight in.

Windows.old does not have anything to do with your boot options. Your boot
options are based on Vista Setup detecting a bootable non-Vista Windows
partition. Windows.old exists because you did a Custom Installation on a
partition that had a previous Windows system.

I understand. Thank you for the info.

Where is this feature in Vista? Before you could click a button to edit the
file, but now that button is gone.
