My computer was infected with Downloader.small.4.ao
My virus software got rid of it, however, it was saved as
part of a System Restore and now I can't access System
Volume Information to delete it.

How do I gain access to SVI?

I am running a P4 and the HDD in formated to NTFS.

Restore points cannot be changed and cannot be individually deleted. What
you must do now is turn off system restore on all drives and then reboot.
This will delete all restore points now on your computer. After you computer
has restarted, turn system restore on again and create a new restore point.

Thank you so much, Rocky!!!

You can wipe all but the last system restore point by going to:
start>programs>accessories>system tools - Disk Cleanup
Under the "More Options" tab the third choice down is System Restore
[Clean Up...], removes all but the most recent restore point.
