How do i get outlook to recognize the profile i set up?

I have set up my profile in the control panel under the mail tab, but when i
open ms outlook it says my profile has not been configured. How do I get it
to recognize the profile i set up?
 
Have you tried creating a new profile and deleting the old one?

I tried this and it did not help. I deleted the old profile and created a new
one. Then I opened outlook and it still says my profile is not configured.
What am I doing wrong here?
 
OK, try running the Detect and Repair utility from the Help menu of any
installed Office product (you can get to it through Word, for example, if not
Outlook). You will need to have your Office CD handy.

My copy of office came with my computer so I do not have the Office CD. I
already tried that.

Your vendor should have provided you with one or a way to create one. If
they didn't, they should be able to send you one.
