How do I get one picture from a movie??

I want to be able to select one or two snap shots from a movie that i have on a sony memory stick and/or saved on file on my hard drive
How do I get just one or two of the pics from the movie???
 
Hi There,

Do you have a method of transferring these images to your hard drive? There are
two basic methods for doing this.

1) Using a cable connect your camera to the computer (Probably via a USB port)
and using the software that came with the camera transfer the images to your
computer.

2) Using a device called a Smart Card reader, plug the memory stick into and
using the software that comes with the reader transfer the images. If you take
this route you will need to make certain that the reader you purchase is
suitable for your memory stick....there are many types of reader out there on
sale.

Once you have achieved the transfer simply start Movie Maker 2, go to the TASKS
IMPORT PICTURES option, navigate to the place where you stored the pictures,

select them and import them.

If you use a Smart Card Reader, it is possible to import the pictures directly
from the memory stick. On my machine the reader appears as Drive I and I can
navigate to it just as if it was a floppy disk or hard drive.

If you can import the movie into movie maker...
( you do not say what the format is so I don't know if you can )

Import into MM2
Preview the movie by playing it in the monitor, and pausing on the frame you
want
use the take picture button on the right of the playback controls to save a
picture
