how do i get my calendar out of task view?

my calendar is stuck in task view. i know there is supposed to be something
in the advanced tool bar where you can pick month, day, etc. view because i
had it once but now in this particular view i'm in, it doesn't appear and i
can't seem to get back to a normal calendar view. please help! it's driving
me nuts.
 
Go to the View menu > Arrange By > Current View. Choose Day/Week/Month as
the view you want to use
