I have spent hours sorting and arranging my vaction photos and adding cations
to each of them - all 355! When I imported them into Windows Movie Maker, the
captions are there and they show at the top of the window when playing the
"storyline". However, when I saved the movie/slideshow to my PC and to a CD,
it saves as a .wmv but the cptions don't show or are not imported. Is there a
way to do this? People I want to share this with have no idea what the
pictures are of.
Thanks for any help.

There is a link on the task menu that says to add titles and credits.
Although this makes you rewrite all those captions, it is how you put them
on. click on the add title to the selected clip.

That just adds credits or titles which I have done. It won't add captions to
identify each slide. I tried the "overlay" but that puts the text in the
middle of the photo so it doesn't work either...thanks

If you open your pictures with a different application such as microsoft
paint do the captions still show? The reason I ask is because there are some
picture viewing applications that allow you to add text to a picture but it
doesn't actually change the picture - it just keeps that information stored
then when you view the picture in that same application it retrieves the text
to display with the picture. I suggest using PhotoStory 3 which is free from
microsoft. It is geared toward making slide shows though you can import the
slide shows you make with PhotoStory into Movie Maker.
