I've looked at Microsoft teaching programme but I can't understand what its
saying. All I want to do is make sure that the bold, italic and underline
are available on the toolbar everytime I use it. How can I do this?

Right click on blank area of the tool bar and make sure you have Formatting
(toolbar) checked and then it should be there next time you open.

Is your clock right? You haven't even written that yet :-)

| To see the Formatting toolbar (the one that contains the B U I buttons)
| enable it from View > Toolbars > Formatting.
|
| Or if the B U I buttons don't show on the Formatting toolbar, right click
| the toolbar, choose customise, choose "Format" from the left list, and
| scroll down the right list, and click/drag the bold, italics and underline
| buttons to the formatting toolbar.
|
| However, they should be on there by default.

Yeah you are right. I am in Canberrra, Australia and Andrew is in Western
Australia.

His message was shown on my PC as 9:44 and yours as 9:07, when here it is
just 9:33.

But WA just introduced daylight saving rather later than the rest of us, so
maybe some servers have got out of whack

We're in the Twilight Zone here...we don't change so it gets confusing (for
me at least) cause surrounding states do.

We've had three referendums on daylight saving and the majority voted "No"
yet our government has thrust a three year 'trial' on us anyway. So much
for democracy where your vote is supposed to count for something.

I changed my pc time manually although I needed a patch from Microsoft to
correct the time differential due to daylight saving, but had problems with
the ms server trying to validate my copy of Windows as genuine (of course,
it is). Just that the MS servers kept throwing up errors.

So, haven't patched the system.
