How do I get addresses from Contacts list to Outlook Address Book.

I followed instructions to get into Address Book dialog box and under "Show
Names from the:" I click drop down and choose Contacts, a caution appears
stating "The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder
associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved
or deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove
this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Office Outlook
help." and the cycle begins. This is new software installed on my new
computer, no other operators. What folder am I looking to remove from the
Outlook Address Book as stated in caution message? And how do I get Contacts
to Outlook Address Book?
 
You did not post your Outlook version.
All you need to do is configure your Outlook Address Book, but we can't tell
you how when we don't know your version.
 
This is my problem also,
I have outlook 2003.
