Hello.

I have five user accounts on my computer, but I only need a program to
start up automatically for one user account. (The program in question
is Microsoft ActiveSync ). If I place the icon in the startup tab, it
will cause the program to load for every user, but only one user uses
it. When I log on to my user account, the program pops up a screen. I
don't want it to load at all when I log on.

How do I get a program to start up automatically in just one user
account?
Thank you

Hi,

Move the shortcut to the startup folder for just that user.

From:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

To:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

If it is loading from a registry key, start/run msconfig and disable it on
the startup tab. Then place a shortcut to the program executable in the
latter folder.
