How do I get a program to open up and be automatically on maximize?

lets say im opening microsoft word for the first time that day and it
opens up to a half minimized screen...i just wish it would
automatically open up to the fully maximized window...does anyone know
how to do this?

open it up to the size you want then press the SHIFT KEY WHILE YOU ARE
CLOSING THE WINDOW WITH YOUR MOUSE.

The setting will be retained

Other ways.

Create a shortcut to the program, if you don't already have one.

Then right click on the shortcut and select Properties.

Open the program & maximize.

Now at the bottom in the box titled "Run" select "Maximized" and click
on Apply.

Or,

Open the page, resize it, hold down the Ctrl key and click the X in the
upper right corner to close it.

If you start it via a shortcut, you can right-click the shortcut and
set it in 'properties'. This applies to XP and possibly other vers of
Windoze.
