hi all,

a friend has sent me an app developed using .NET CF, would like
to run this in a enumlator on my XP box, is this possible ?

i will not want to install VS.NET 2003 on my machine.

thanks,

Hi,

You can if you install the emulator, you also will need a way to transfer
files to the emulator.

Cheers,

looked around the pocketpc2003 emulators and it seems to be that we need the
SDK. which in turn says that you need to either have eVC++ or VS.NET 2003 -
a development environment installed.

all i want to be able to do is just run the .NETCF app on my xp box.

thanks,

If a .NET CF application does not make use of any device-specific features,
it should run fine on XP without any emulator (assuming you have the XP
..NET Framework installed, which is available from Windows Update).
Have you tried that?
