How do I get a picture to show in a record?

I have followed the other posts and seem to be getting sidetracked. Most of
the comments seems to be on the pros and cons of linking vs. embedding a
picture file. I just want to know how to get the picture to show when you
open that record. I have it where the file name shows and you can double
click and show the picture, but I want the picture to show without that step.
Can this be done?
