Hi,

I know XP allows for a Classsic interface but there still seems to be a
remnant of XP gooiness that I'd like to get rid of. Personally, I really liked
the look of Windows 2000. Is there an easy way to revert back to a Windows
2000 gui (does TweakXP do this?) or is it a matter of registry changes and
whatnot that still doesn't rid one of the Teletubbiness and in addition
leaves the system less stable.

Thank you, Steve.

From the run line: gpedit.msc Browse through the Administrative templates.
You can even force classic logon and dispense with the 'Welcome Screen'.

I don't see a gpedit.msc in XP and it wouldn't run

Right click "My computer, select properites, go to the advanced tab and set
the "perfomance" for Best performance. You can adjust the start menu by
right clicking the Start button and choosing properties as well.

Whoops. Two points, I forgot to address:

You must have XP Pro...
You need to be logged on, as administrator.

If these two conditions are not met, disregard my previous post.
