I am a teacher and i am trying to design a jeopardy game. I have used
command buttons. How do I get it so that when I click on a button it opens
to another screen with a question and then when I click again show the answer?

You might want to check out some other people's examples. Searching for
PowerPoint Jeopardy leads to many links. Bill Foley has an example at:

http://www.pttinc.com/ppgame.htm#PPGame

You also might want to check out the Games portion of the PPT FAQ:

http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00616.htm

Now, to your specific question. You can make any shape have an action,
such as a hyperlink, not just a button. You can set the hyperlink to go
to the slide with the answer. You can put the question in a big
rectangle on the question slide. Set the hyperlink for this rectangle to
link an answer slide. Finally, have the answer in a big rectangle that
hyperlinks back to the game board.

This could easily be done with fewer slides using animations or a little
VBA (my Web site has examples that hide and show shapes with VBA).
Perhaps, if you tell us more about what you need help with, we can
clarify this answer.

Dbarney,
This must be the season for Jeopardy lessons.

I went through about 60 examples and picked the best features of each. (Some
of the examples I used were just boxes while others were more visually
appealing)

(I prefer backgrounds, sounds, etc. to keep the students from getting bored.)

E-Mail me if you want to see what I have to prevent you from reinventing the
wheel.

Sincerely,

John
