I am writing my thesis and would like to insert some pictures into the text
(with the text wrapping around) but I cannot get captions to stay with the
pictures. Its very frustrating! Please can anybody help? I'm using Word
2003. Thanks

Hopefully, you are writing your thesis in Word and not FrontPage. This
newsgroup is for Frontpage. However, I would guess you'd create a table with
invisible cells and put your image into it and let the text wrap.

Also, make sure you save often, and make a backup copy at least once a day.

Back in my day, one had to submit 4 copies, all on bond paper, and all
laboriously hand typed (do you remember typewriters?). The only way you
could lose one of those was if somebody spilled coffee on it, which the Dean
of the Graduate School proceeded to do right after I handed it to him....

I had no backup then, either....

Ha!

You had it easy- paper is cheap. Mine was on 35mm film, a long continous
length of it, and cost me a ton of money to produce.

You think my hand typed bond paper originals didn't? 8)

only if you dint do the typing :-) shit I hated those days...even though I'm
a pretty good typist, it never failed that I'd produce a perfect
page...until the very last sentence I'd make a mistake...then have to start
over. I don't miss that at all.
