When I try to access the MSN server for my mail I get an error 0x800CCC32. I
can get my mail if I go to the MSN home page with MS Explorer. I can also get
my mail in OUTLOOK on my laptop. I have deleted all temp files; deleted my
profile and re-installed a new profile with the same user ID and password; I
have re-load MS OFFICE/OUTLOOK all to no avail.

MS Outlook 2002, was bundled with my Office XP. My IE is version 7.0 Yes, I
have an annual MS Mail & Hotmail subscription and it is current. I can access
my mail via MS Explorer and also MS OUTLOOK on my laptop. I am sure my
problem occured when someone sent me a link for an 'asf' or an 'awf' file,
something to do with Flash media files I think. It caused OUTLOOK to close
out abruptly. I am sure I have file corruption in one or more of the registry
files. I woke up this morning, read your response and I suddenly realized I
could use the RESTORE function and this fixed the problem. All I needed was a
wack across the side of the head. Thanks for responding.
