How do I find video adapter?

I have been able to fix my audio problem, but still have video problem.
Screen "jumps" or "skips" and I can't play DVD player, Google Earth
(w/DirectX), and who knows what else!

I have looked in Device Manager, and I have a listing of "other devices"
which include in subcategories "sm bus controller" and "video controller (vga
compatible).

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, and windows is not finding the
software drivers for these devices. I don't know what else to do at this
point.

All of these seems to have stemmed from my husband installing some games
from Yahoo, and unfortunately, I didn't realize that the restore system
option was turned off!

Any ideas anyone? I would really appreciate the help! Thanks a bunch!

Go to http://www.lavalys.com and download Everest Home edition.. when run,
this will tell you what video adapter is installed.. it will also give you a
link to a site where you can obtain the correct drivers for your card..

So you got sound fix? How?
What video Adapter do you have?
PCI, AGP, or onboard?
MFG? Model?

The most obvious places to look would be in the computer's manual
or on the computer manufacturer's web site. Failing that:

1) Start > Run > MSinfo32.exe.

or

2) Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information.

or

3) Start > Run > DXDiag.exe.

or

4) Right-click My Computer > Manage > Device Manager.

or

5) If none of the built-in tools provide the information you want, you
can use these utilities to help determine the answer to your question:

I went to the site and downloaded Everest. I have the nVIDIA nforce2 video
adapter and 3D accelerator. Only I don't see a link to get the drivers. Any
ideas?

P.S. Thanks SO much for the help! I've been lost as to what to do!
