When using The AntiSpyware Beta version, I want to select
a System Explorer from the advanced tool page but I am
unable to see any of the system explorers. How can I make
them available so that I can select them???

PS: I have consulted the help menu and followed the
instructions there. However, there is NO tree list on
the left and there is no expand icons to the right of the
screen and when I click the System Explorers tab, there
are NO system explorers. The help screen I am referring
to is shown below...but none of the things shown below
are choices when I try to find/select a system explorer.

SPYWARE Beta Help screen:
To run a System Explorer, select the explorer you would
like to view from the tree list on the left of the
screen. If the list is hidden, click expand icons to the
right of the screen or click the System Explorers tab,
this will expand the list of System Explorers.

This is what Steve Dodson [MSFT] suggests:

"1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd)
2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" (without the quotes).
3) Close and re-open Windows AntiSpyware"

Eventually if it doesn't work try what says Bill Sanderson:

"If you are missing your System Explorers, under advanced tools, several
users now have found that the fix first discovered by Donald Johnson,
appears to be effective for this problem:

Installation of a Service Pack for the Visual Basic 6 runtime: This link
is
for SP6, but SP5 also appears to be effective.

I run into same problem .It may be a bug I hope is not.
What worst I run a dual boot on my box and I guess on the
second OS system explorers disappeared as well. It
happen after a furious attack from a site which
installed trojans ,spyware, page redirection tools, Lsp
modification, home page hijack, it all happened under a
minute , I regret M antispyware wasnt real time on
, I never experienced such thing ,after using track
eraser ??? all msn, yahoo, google and more toolbars
disappeared .. they sit in under installed programs
but never visible anywhere near browser toolbar ..
but this is something else . I wonder if there are
more people out there complaning about non
existent " system explorers under advanced tools in
M anti spyware, then you should really look closer
if there is a bug or some malicious software can
easily modify things there .. thanks

Steve's advice should supersede mine---i.e. it is newer and ought to work
better. In feedback requested, I've only seen one "no" vote on his method.

Use Steve Dodson's fix as posted earlier in this thread by Mikolaj.
