I use concept maps and graphic organizers to help my students learn related
ideas in Biology. These are similar to WAN maps and flow charts but
accomplish a different purpose in helping students visualize key concepts.
One common graphic organizer is a Venn Diagram for showing similarities and
differences between two or more topics/concepts or items.

Ok, had a minute to read a little more about this - it's really pretty
simple. Here's what you do...

1. Make sure the "Drawing Toolbar" is visible
2. Choose "Insert Diagram or Organization Chart" (it looks like a little
Cycle Diagram)
3. You will then be given the option to choose what type of diagram you want
- Venn is one of the options!!

Hope this helped!!

Inside of either Word or PowerPoint, take a look at the Insert,
Diagram features.
