How do I find a contact that is located in a sub-folder of the co.

When I search for a contact within a sub-folder of the contacts folder, the
contact is not found. I have tried going to Properties, then Activities, then
highlighting Contacts, then pressing Activities, and making sure that the
Search Subfolders box is checked, but that doesn't fix the problem.
Many thanks!

not sure I follow what you are doing - activates finds things associated
with a contact - did you associate the second contact with the first?

Hi, let me elaborate:
Within the "contacts" folder I have 7 sub-folders. When I look for a contact
by typing in a name in the box at the top of the main outlook page (there is
a little book icon) I get the message "Outlook could not find the requested
contact". I know that the contact definately exists within one of the
sub-folders. However, searching for a contact within the "contact" folder
does work.
I hope this makes sense!
Thanks so much.

I have the same problem. I've been reading this problem from a number of
people and it seems to have something to do with setting the folder up - I
asked a few questions ago "how to" do it. When I get a response I'll let you
know.

This may be our answer. Its a few pages back from your question. I copied
the answer. You'll have to type in the link - it didn't copy as such. I
believe the answer was from Russ Valentine.

There are at least three options for grouping Contacts in Outlook, depending
on your needs:
1. Categories
2. Separate Contact Subfolders
3. Distribution Lists
The last is not recommended. The other two are discussed here:

Enabling each subfolder as an email address book is the solution. Thanks to
Russ Valentine! But thanks for your help, SQ
