How do I filter when sending to a GAL list?
Hi
Hi
I have to send regular emails to a couple thousand users in my organisation. All users are on our GAL and while most are 'found' by lookup and underlined, there are lots that are not found and I'd like to erase them from the send list.
Using Send brings up the 'address for contact not found' popup (and the only options are to abort the send or make a new address) - I wish MS had added 'remove from the list' or something, but maybe this is in future ones (I am on 2002).
The send-to list comes from selecting all the emails in an account (say 3500 of them), dragging the list into Excel, removing the non-name data, filtering the list for unique records, then copying the list of names (as above) into BCC, 499 at a time (to dodge the spam robot).
I guess I have 2 posers:
Thanks for any suggestions!!

I guess I have 2 posers:
- Is there a quicker way of doing this email transferrance of email names, or extracting the email addresses from each email (which would remove the need to answer the below)?
- If not, is there at least a quick way of removing unrecognised names from the send-to box without having to go thru and erasing them by hand?
Thanks for any suggestions!!
