How do I export Outlook mail to Mail.app on a Mac?

I have outlook 2003, and all my mail is backed up as .pst
files. I now have to migrate all my mail to Macintosh
Mail.app.

Does anyone know the least painful way to do this?

Only Outlook can read PST files, which are a proprietary Microsoft
format. The easiest way to convert messages is through an IMAP server.

For some tips, take a look at
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/cross_platform/>. It's an Entourage
site, but the basic concepts are the same with Mail.app.
