The 2000 version uses plain text to list the categories - the 2003
version
is Unicode. Try changing the version # before importing and see if it
works-
the worst that will happen is it doesn't work - it shouldn't affect the
usability of the computer and you can always delete the key.

Diane - Your reference was helpful. Did not realize that the master
category
list is not a separate file, but rather a part of the registry.
Your comment about it not being the same format in the two versions of
Outlook is not clear to me though .... given that the reference
indicates
"need to change the version number in the key before importing". Is
format
an
additional issue or are you just saying the same thing?

I believe the one is 2000 is not the same format as 2003... see
