how do i export a table of addresses from access to word ?

help ! I have a table of addresses (first name last name address city state
zip) in access and I am trying to export the data to word to print only
selected labels. Word says it cannot find file. make sure path name is
correct. error message -cannot find file

then I tried to start in word and import table from access – but I cant get
this to work either. error message: cannot find file

what is wrong that I cant get this to work ?? besides that I am a moron??
 
Hi Michelley,

Try this.

1) In Access, create a select query which returns all and only the names
and addresses you want to print.

2) Use File|Export to export this query to a Microsoft Word Merge file
(this is usually near the bottom of the list in the Save As Type
dropdown in the dialog). Make a note of the folder where you save the
file and of its name.

3) Use that file for the data source in Word.
