How do I export a group of contacts from Outlook to Excel?

And I do mean FROM Outlook to Excel, not the other way around,
unfortunately...it sounds like that would be much easier! Thanks.
 
The term "group of Contacts" has no meaning in Outlook's context. Explain
what you mean by it.
 
I have several categories of contacts, some have 15 individuals, some 100 or
more. Instead of individually exporting each person to excel, I'd like to
highlight my contact category "clients" and all of them get exported. Does
that make sense?

It does, but to export you would need to place these Contacts into separate
subfolders. Only subfolders can be exported, not Categories. Should be easy
to do.

can I ask WHY? there may be a better solution but you haven't explained WHY
you want to do this.
