How do I exclude users from a Distribution List?

I use MS Outlook 2003 and I have the following question for all of you... I
have added all the people in my address book to one Distribution List (DL)
and named it "Friends".. When I receive an e-mail from someone in my list ie
Lisa and want to forward it to all my contacts normally i would type in the
name of my DL in the To: field and send it. That way Lisa will receive her
own e-mail again which can be disturbing sometimes. Is there a way I could
use something like "Friends -Lisa" in the To: field to exclude Lisa from the
recepients?
 
No, but you can click on the + sign to expand the DL before sending and delete Lisa's name.

I made a mistake before, I am using MS Office XP, not 2003. So i don't have
the (+) sign... Any help?
 
Use the File | Work Offline command to set Outlook to work offline. Create and send the item. Open it in the Outbox and delete the name. Click Send again. Toggle Outlook back online.

Thank you, it is a way around the problem but far too much to do when we're
talking about 20-30 or more e-mails a day. Thank you anyway....
 
Um... if you are forwarding 20-30 or more emails to your friends daily, I
think you need to take a serious look at your habit and make sure everyone
on your list wants that much junk forwarded - many may consider it spam. (If
I were on your friends list, I'd have your address on my junk senders list
by the end of day 2.)

If going offline is too much work, this should work - you could set a rule
to hold all messages for xx minutes, then just go into the outbox, open the
message and remove the name.
