How do I erase run dropdown entries?

I need to erase the past entries in the "run" dialog box. I did it once
before, accidentally, on a limited account when I was resetting some defaults,
but I don't remember how. I am trying to prevent a limited user from
accessing the registry editor. I tried entering "regedit" in his run box to
see whether he had access. He did. It is my understanding that he can't
actually edit, but i don't want to go so far as to try that to see whether it
works. Now that I typed the command into the "run" box in his user desktop,
it is always in the drop down box, and I can't erase it. I don't want him to
use it, if he doesn't already know how (and even if he does). He is a student
staying with us, and when he gets back from break, I plan to lay down the law
one more time before telling him he can't use the computer at all, but prefer
not to completely ban him yet.
