My library has good information on books which I can only get by allowing
popups. They said that Windows XP has them disabled as a default setting.
How can I enable them before going to the library site and then disable them
thereafter?

What specific Internet browser are you using? The answer will vary
accordingly. For instance:

*Internet Explorer 7*: Tools > Pop-up Blocker. (This can be set by
specific individual web site, so you don't need to be enabling/disabling
the Pop-up blocker as you visit various sites.)

*Firefox 2.0.0.3*: Tools > Options > Content > Block Pop-up Windows.
(Again, you can specify individual web sites as exceptions, so that they
can provide pop-ups, but others won't. You don't need to be
enabling/disabling the Pop-up blocker as you visit various sites.)

If you're using another browser, consult it's Help files for specific
guidance.

It's IE7, and your help works fine. But when I put "pop-up blocker" into
"help," I got "No topics." Is it in "help"? ...under what search subject?

Glad to hear that.

Which "Help" are you using? When I search IE7's Help for the phrase
"pop-up blocker" I get 30 different links.
