How do I eliminate automatic appearance of paragraph signs?

In typing don't want dots in spaces!!!!

When I type in my text, automatically I get the paragraph sign appearing. At
the same time, instead of a space between words, there is a dot that appears,
not a period, but a dot, halfway up the line! How do I get back to standard
typing? This is driving me crazy!!!! email (e-mail address removed)

This question seems to be about Word, not about Microsoft Access, the
database program, which is the topic of this newsgroup. That said, I
recognize these symptoms. It seems you have Word set to show formatting
marks. You can turn it off by

a) Clicking the toobar button with the paragraph-sign picture, or

b) Pressing Ctrl+Shift+8 , or

c) Clicking Tools -> Options..., and on the View tab, unchecking the all the
boxes under "Formatting marks". You probably have "All" checked.

I suspect you are talking about Microsoft Word; if so, you're asking in the
wrong place - this forum is for a different program, Microsoft Access. Please
repost in a Word forum.

Note also that these newsgroups are volunteer based, and that insisting on
private email support is considered impolite. Ask here... or in an appropriate
Word forum (scroll down the list of subject areas)... and come here for the
answer.
