I am a beginner at this. I have imported a webcast video (from Windows Media
Player) into Windows Movie Maker. The first 45 minutes are wasted time that
needs to be erased from the video. How do I do this?

================================
Two ways...
#1) Drag the clip to your timeline. Place your
pointer on the left edge of the clip and you will
see a double red arrow. You can drag this
arrow to the point where you wish the movie
to begin.

#2) Drag the clip to your timeline. If you play
the clip, you'll see a vertical line advancing
across the clip. If you click the Pause button
on your view screen, you can left click/drag
this line to the position where you wish to
cut the clip.

When the line is in the correct position...
left click the Split button (it's just below your
view screen to the right) or...type...Ctrl+L.

Now...right click/select the unwanted portion
and from the menu...choose...Delete.
