In Excel I can change the format of a hyperlink to drop the underline format
but I can't figure out if this can be done in PowerPoint.

In other words, I want to create hyperlinks in PowerPoint that are NOT
underlined. Can it be done and if so, how?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Instead of selecting the text for the hyperlink, select the shape. If there
are multiple hyperlinks within the same box, create no line/99% transparency
boxes to go over the text and give those the hyperlinks.
