Outlook is not a free product and I'm not aware of anyone who offers a purchase
and download option.

You can buy it here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/FX101211561033.aspx

I think it will let you download the product. If not you can always
download/install the trial version then use the supplied license key
(after you purchase) to convert the trial version to the full version.

What I love is that the Buy It button is there for the suite, but not the
individual package (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/FX102464501033.aspx).
Maybe that's why so many people ask if you can actually buy it separately....

Yeah, well if he wants JUST Outlook then he'll have to go to a "select
retailer". But he can buy Outlook as part of a suite on-line.

Or he could download and install the fully-functional trial version of
the suite for free, which would give him 60 days to find a "select
retailer" to buy the individual application from.

I'd say I'm surprised that MS only allows the direct purchase/download of
the more expensive suite, but... I'm *sure* there's a rational design decision
behind it.

......

=)

As a stockholder I will say that I'm sure there is too. :-)
