Hello everyone.

I know we can connect to any computer (by knowing its IP) that runs
IIS on his/her computer. For example, I am running IIS and have a few
web pages set up here that I would like people to able to access from
accross the world by knowing my computers IP. This works.

But now I am on a network environment and behind a firewall (PS. I use
Microsoft Firewall Client). Now how can i check my remote IP ? I tried
to obtain it through the help of another website ( I went to another
website and that website told me my IP ). But now when i try to
connect to my own computer thru this IP, it doesnt connect. it asks
for authentication.

Im doing this: http://217.x.x.x/ to connect to my PC's IIS. it worked
before i was not on a network environment. Now it doesnt connect. How
can I connect to my PC ?

Talk to the network administrator to unblock port 80 on the firewall and
also to port forward port 80, and any other ports you are using, to your
computer. It also appears that security is setup to prevent servers within
the network from public access.
