Hi, In all the trtaining books I have seen, there is an arrow in the field name at the top of each column in table view. In my db's, this arrow never shows, only the pop-up to sort A or D. How do I turn the visual arrow on, so folks using the data base know whether the sort on a column, is A or D when they open it.
Thanks for your help,
Ken

Hi
Thanks for the reply. Tried it with no luck. I am trying to show the arrow to the right of the field name in Table (column) headers (Field). A little gray box shows up when I scroll on the RHS of the Field Name, yet there is no arrow indicating the sort direction.
Cheers
Ken

Interesting I never checked that box, I will have to investigate what tha
does
example on the "Last name" column there is an arrow.
If you then click the arrow and choose to sort ascending it will show the
"little arrow" next to the arrow you just clicked.
1. If you can't see any arrow on every column (send me a copy of the
database and I will look at it). Perhaps related to your Access install?
2. if you can't see the "little arrow" after you do a sort, try sorting the
list. This is shown after the list is sorted (not based on what sorting you
might have in the query that drives the list).
Not sure what my last answer was all about? I still don't know exactly what
that option changes?
